The intent of this education program is to provide new oncology nurses with a platform of basic core knowledge in the nursing care of people with cancer, from which ongoing learning and skill may be pursued. This program is not designed to measure individual competency; but will deliver standardized basic clinical oncology education for nurses in the Puget Sound Region. This program influences the standardization of oncology nursing practice throughout the community.
